Experience

Agency work

I build websites for an agency’s clients: institutional organisations, professionals, community groups. Mostly rebuilds: a site that has aged and needs redoing without losing its content or its search ranking.

Depending on the project, that means Astro with an in-house SCSS foundation and content in typed collections, or WordPress when the client needs to manage everything themselves. I’ve also worked on several AI-augmented internal tools, described in my projects as far as I’m able to discuss them.

Several of those sites aren’t live yet. They’ll appear here when they are.

The rest

Beyond code

Before development, I did other things, and some of those skills still earn their keep.

I took on YouTube thumbnail contracts and various graphic design work in Photoshop, Illustrator, Krita and Blender. That’s why I’m comfortable starting from a Figma mockup rather than waiting to be handed one. I was also a YouTube content creator: my biggest video is a fourteen-minute edit that took over a hundred hours in Premiere Pro and After Effects, spread across three months.

I’ve also taken part in two 48-hour game jams, one of them leading a team of beginners. Both games are playable in the browser and detailed in my projects.

None of that is software development. But a hundred-hour edit, a team you have to lead in 48 hours, and a mockup you have to design before coding share one thing with the job: you have to finish.
